We visited with Jedni and Paja our friends living in Nicaragua. Our journey to Managua went through Vienna, Duesseldorf and Miami. Even though it is the second poorest nation in the Americas, it has much to offer for tourists. We visited cities Masaya, Matagalpa, Leon, Ruinas de León Viejo and Mombacho vulcano national park. We were riding horses on Masaya vulcano, climbed Ometepe vulcano, spent a weekend on playa Coco close to San Juan del Sur. We were watching turtles laying eggs on La Flor beach nearby. We tasted coffee in Selva Negra and tried surfing on Pacific waves.. Nikaragua hermosa!
